KOURABIEDES

Kourabiedes, the sweet tradition that melts in your mouth and warms your heart!


Ingredients:

650gr.

250gr.

120gr.

100gr.

30gr.

Rosewater

30gr.

Brandy

10gr.

 100gr.

Roasted Almonds

30gr.

Orange Juice


 

Preparation:

Roast the almonds at 180°C for about 10 minutes, then chop them coarsely once they cool. Mix the shortening, sunflower oil, and powdered sugar. In one bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. In another bowl, mix the orange juice, orange blossom water, and brandy.


Method:

Beat the shortening, powdered sugar, and sunflower oil with the paddle attachment at high speed for about 5 minutes, until the mixture becomes fluffy. Then, add the flour mixture and the juice mixture, and beat on low speed for about a minute until combined. Finally, add the toasted almonds.


Shaping:

Form 50g balls from the dough.


Baking:

Bake at 170°C for about 20 minutes. Once the kourabiedes are hot out of the oven, spray them with orange blossom water. After they cool completely, dust them with powdered sugar.
